The company HEUTE Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, which is more than 110
years old, is a specialist in the production of shoe polishing machines
and industrial cleaning systems for soles and tyres. The global expansion
has made it necessary to move the company’s headquarters. Since the
beginning of 2017, an existing office and production building in Solingen
has formed the new site. Where darkness and narrowness prevailed in the
typical 80s cell offices and corridors, the firm of architects Großkemm +
Richard has created friendly, open meeting and lounge areas. The floor
plan has been broken up at the transverse edges and the office areas have
been opened up to the corridors using large glazing panels. The newly
created meeting and rest areas are given special emphasis with the use of
FREESTILE carpet tiles by OBJECT CARPET. The offices along the corridors
have been designed in a characteristic style, depending on their use, by
using the high-quality WEB UNI and SILKY SEAL carpets.
