Carpet webs, tiles and rugs for healthy living - all from a single source

Be healthy, be safe, be happy: Unwind your sensuality, take a deep breath, feel good and rely on sustainability – if you really want to live a healthy life, you should consistently do it in all respects: including your food, clothes,  home, furniture, and also, the right flooring. In this respect, you can fully rely on the quality provided by the established manufacturer of high-quality ecological carpets, tiles and rugs.

„In the creation of our entire new FACTS & INSPIRATIONS collection, our objective was to develop "healthy" flooring. And we have managed this!" says Daniel Butz, the managing direction of OBJECT CARPET. "Today we can proudly say: OBJECT CARPET produces carpets that are not only completely free of PVC, bitumen and latex, but exclude all ingredients that may be harmful to one’s health.

As these very low emission carpets protect people’s health, they were awarded the "Blue Angel" quality seal from the German Federal Environment Agency, recognised by environmentalists. In addition, the carpets impress with their suitability for allergy sufferers as approved by TÜV. Thus, OBJECT CARPET is taking decisive steps ahead of its competitors as a pioneer in the world of carpets, tiles and rugs.

And there is a clear vision behind that. For Daniel Butz, a carpeted floor is much more than just a means of design. Yarns, pile, tiles, patterns and threads are part of his life tracing back to his childhood.  Knowing the materials better than most anyone, he revolutionized the way people view flooring architecture with sustainable innovations. He took over the company from his father and has since paired modern technology with individual design to create unique and emotionally-touching products – in full accordance with strict ecological principles. Thus, the new collection FACTS & INSPIRATION keeps the spotlight on pairing environment and health with exciting creation options. The sustainable carpets 'Made in Germany' combine hip interior concepts and classic well-being in a healthy way.

"For OBJECT CARPET, ecological awareness has been rooted in the company’s DNA for more than 40 years. We take our environmental awareness and turn it into action. This results in sustainable materials, production and disposal," asserts Daniel Butz. A highlight is, for example, PLACES OF ORIGIN. The carpet is manufactured of 100% regenerated ECONYL® yarn from Aquafil. The supplier was awarded with the special prize for resource efficiency, the German Sustainability Award, uses material, which are processed from industrial waste and disused fishing nets that would otherwise end up in the waste landfills and pollute the seas. For every 10.000 tons of ECONYL® raw material, 70.000 barrels of crude oil are saved and 57.100 tonnes of CO2 eq. Emissions are avoided. As well as being a solution of waste, ECONYL ® regenerated nylon is also better when it comes to climate change. It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 80% compared with the material from oil. The FREESTILE collection contains another innovation: The tiles are made from 100% recyclable PET fibre material.

"Yesterday's garbage – today’s resource-friendly high-tech fibre!” This motto runs through the entire product range of OBJECT CARPET. Being an owner-managed company with production sites in Germany, we are personally interested not only in complying with standards, but also in optimising them,” emphasises Daniel Butz. Through our business activities, we contribute daily to the value of the title "Made in Germany”. We have already been honoured for this several times. Among our awards are, "Brand of the Century", "Construction-trend Award for Energy and Resource Efficiency", "AIT Innovation Prize" and "Material Prize". OBJECT CARPET takes all current ecological and residential-health challenges and continuously develops new solutions. So, for example, the carpet floorings provide a tangible reason to breathe a sigh of relief: They measurably improve the room air, bind the fine dust and – in contrast to hard floors, such as stone, laminate or parquet – demonstrably reduce the level of fine dust in the air by more than 50%. "We have our products tested and certified by the TÜV Nord on suitability for allergy sufferers", says Daniel Butz. The DAAB (German Allergy and Asthma Association) recommends synthetic carpets for people who suffer from allergies and asthma. In addition, carpet floorings measurably reduce impact sound, noise levels, and reverberation time.

Numerous tests by independent testing institutes are proof of the high quality and environmental friendliness of OBJECT CARPET flooring. The carpet flooring manufacturer OBJECT CARPET has been a member of the Community of Environmentally-Friendly Carpets (GUT), since 1992. The aim of this community is to take appropriate measures to ensure zero-emission carpets are produced during the production process, as well as an emission-free final product. "Thanks to our measures in production and certification, all OBJECT CARPET qualities meet the requirements for the use in buildings certified by the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council).

Moreover, all qualities of OBJECT CARPET flooring have been awarded the CRI Green Label Plus Certificate. This means they belong to the textile flooring class of the lowest VOC emissions available on the market and fulfil the requirements for their use in buildings certified as Green Label Plus and LEED. Moreover, they significantly improve the indoor air quality.

With innovative, resource-conserving production technologies and products,  OBJECT CARPET contributes both to the systematic environmental protection and protection of health. Our company does not only fulfil strict environmental guidelines in its production processes and uses environmentally-friendly materials, but also pushes for longevity of carpet floorings –  both in the functional as in the aesthetic sense. The use of exclusive brand fibre guarantees a high durability of all carpet qualities. Daniel Butz sums it up best: "Manufacturing durable and sustainable carpets with a very good life-cycle-balance is a continuous and self-evident process for us!"

The textile floorings of OBJECT CARPET are awarded with these certificates

Blue Angel Quality Mark

Simply better: all our carpets bear the label „Blue Angel“ of the German Federal Environmental Agency and are proven to protect environment and health. The strict label is awarded by an independent jury and considers the whole life cycle of a product. Thereby the criteria extend considerably the legally defined standard.

Testing by GuT

Since 1992, OBJECT CARPET has been a member of the Community of Environmentally-Friendly Carpets (GUT), whose aim is to take appropriate measures to ensure zero-emission carpets during the production process, as well as an emission- free final product. In order to achieve this objective, the GuT association examines the manufacturing process and products through independent testing institutes.

Certification Low VOC Emission

All products of OBJECT CARPET are awarded with the CRI Green Label Plus certificate. This means that the tested floorings belong to the textile flooring class of the lowest VOC emissions available on the market and fulfil the requirements for their use in buildings certified as Green Label Plus and LEED. Thence it has been proven that all carpets significantly improve the indoor air quality.

Member of the DGNB (German Society for Sustainable Buildings)

In addition, OBJECT CARPET is a member of the German Society for Sustainable Building. The goal of this association is to promote sustainable and economically efficient construction. All OBJECT CARPET qualities meet the requirements for use in the LEED and DGNB certified buildings and thus contribute to achieving the legal standards for environmentally-friendly, resource-conserving and sustainable construction.

Proof of Fine Dust Reduction

A long-term study of the GuT-Lab community of environmental engineers and laboratories once again confirmed what already earlier studies of the German Allergy and Asthma Association (DAAB) had showed: carpeted floor reduces the number of allergens and fine dust particles in the air.

Ecological Product Declaration

The Environmental Product Declaration EPD considers all important stages in the life of textile flooring: from cradle to factory gate, from factory gate to end of use, and from end use to end of life. In the carpet’s lifespan, all sensible recycling possibilities are taken into account and stated in the EPD.

French VOC-Label Emissions in Room Air

All OBJECT CARPET products belong to group A+ in accordance with the French classifications of emission products.

Testing by the TÜV

All OBJECT CARPET floorings are made of allergenic-controlled material, voluntarily TÜV-tested and certified as „suitable for people suffering from allergies”.
