A luminous evening: OBJECT CARPET was celebrated as one of the “Brands of the Century”

At the largest brand gala in the Loewe Saloon in Berlin OBJECT CARPET shone as one of the best brands of the century. At the gala, the book project “Stars 2016” was presented, which collects and portrays German brands with international presence. The book is published by Dr Florian Langenscheidt.

OBJECT CARPET can enjoy one more important award: the company is now officially one of the “Brands of the Century”. With its carpets, which are much more than mere flooring and combine beauty and practicality with innovative and highvalue materials, OBJECT CARPET impresses both the experts’ commission and the editorial staff of the “Deutsche Standards”. The markets selected by the commission are collected in the beautifully designed book “Stars 2016“. The book was presented at the large gala at the Adlon Hotel Berlin. Daniel Butz, CEO at OBJECT CARPET, says about the book: “We were very delighted to be presented in this form. Regardless of our having been chosen, I share the vision of this book project as a wonderful idea since a brand is always something more than only a product. A brand also epitomises values of a company”. The publisher and initiator of the book is Dr. Florian Langenscheidt, who, above all, likes to tell fascinating stories behind the brands.

One of the brands which met these strict selection criteria was OBJECT CARPET. A selected product should be emblematic for its entire product type – such as Kleenex® for tissues. The awarded brands are real “stars“ in both senses of the word, as Langenscheidt says: “On one hand, they are stars in the infinite sky of brands, which shine in special light and convey orientation, quality and brand history to the consumer in a one-of-a-kind way. On the other hand, the “brands of the century” are such “stars which we want to make the stage for”. OBJECT CARPET was celebrated as a brand of the century together with brands like Adidas, BMW, Hansgrohe, Mercedes Benz, Rimowa, Steiff, Sixt, Nivea, Lamy, Loewe, Mustang, Porsche and Sixt.
